During a recent episode of her podcast Let’s Be Honest, television personality and entrepreneur Kristin Cavallari revealed that one of her breast implants had ruptured. The discovery was made during a procedure she underwent to adjust the position of her implants.
Concerns About Implant Position Led to Surgery
Cavallari, known for her role on Laguna Beach, explained that she had long been unhappy with the appearance of her breasts, particularly the right implant.
“Everything just happened very slowly,” she said. “I never thought, ‘My boobs don’t look the same,’ or ‘My boobs aren’t in the right place.’ But I knew they weren’t positioned the way I wanted them to be.”
Initially, she attributed the change in appearance to gravity. “Specifically, that one [implant] wasn’t in the right place. I think maybe over time, gravity has taken over, but that’s not how I wanted it to be. It’s not ideal,” she added.
Rupture Discovered After Surgery
Ahead of a photo shoot for her lifestyle brand Uncommon James, Cavallari chose to undergo a breast augmentation to reposition the implants. After the procedure, doctors informed her that one of the implants had ruptured.
“There’s no telling how long this implant was ruptured,” she said. “My body formed a big piece of scar tissue around it… That’s why my right breast was definitely not placed right, and it was screwed up.”
She described the situation as “incredible to think about” and joked that she could probably scroll through her iPhone camera roll to pinpoint when her breasts started looking “a little squinty.”
Cavallari Not Ready to Remove Implants
Despite the health issue, Cavallari said she is not planning to remove her implants anytime soon. “I’m not ready to take my implants out. I’m 38, I’m still young. I’ve got a long way to go, and I’m single.”
Cavallari emphasized that her decision is personal. “If I was in a long-term relationship, maybe I’d take my implants out. I don’t know, but I’m single right now,” she said. “What I need more than anything right now is the best boobs I can imagine. So, you know, I’m sure some people won’t understand that, but that’s OK — because it’s not your body.”
Recent Relationship History
Cavallari confirmed that she is currently single following her split from NHL player Nate Thompson in March. Before Thompson, she dated Mark Estes, a member of the TikTok group Montana Boyz, for seven months. That relationship ended in September.
