Paige Hyland, best known from Dance Moms, recently shared health concerns on TikTok after discovering a lump in her breast. “I’m a little nervous,” she admitted in the video. She said the lump had been painful, so she scheduled an ultrasound for both breasts “just to be safe.”
Concern Grows After Mother’s Diagnosis
Her caution comes after her mother, Kelly Hyland—also a Dance Moms cast member—was diagnosed with breast cancer in March. Paige explained, “I’d rather be safe than sorry because of what’s going on with my mom.”

Viewers flooded the comments with messages of hope and shared experiences.
“I did an ultrasound thinking it was a lump. Turns out it was just dense tissue,” one wrote.
“My daughter had a lump removed and it was nothing, but it was still scary,” another added.

Kelly Hyland’s Breast Cancer Journey
Kelly Hyland rang a bell in August to mark the end of her first round of treatment. She still faces surgery, 20 sessions of radiation, and 11 more treatments. In an interview with E! News, Kelly described her early warning sign: “I had significant weight loss without changing my diet or lifestyle.”
Kelly’s lump appeared eight months after a clear mammogram. “I was shocked by how quickly it had grown,” she told reporters. To date, she has not shared further updates on her subsequent treatments or recovery.
