NEW YORK — Actress and author Julia Fox has spoken out in support of a growing trend among celebrities who are candid about their cosmetic procedures. During an interview with People at the Tribeca Film Festival, the Uncut Gems star applauded public figures like Kylie Jenner and Kristin Cavallari for their honesty about body enhancements, calling it a “new wave” of transparency.
Breaking Unrealistic Beauty Standards
“I love it. I think we should be honest,” Fox said, emphasizing that secrecy around procedures can create harmful ideals. “It’s great for you, but what about girls who are easily influenced? They’re like, ‘Wait, why don’t I look like that? What’s wrong with me?’”
Fox stressed the importance of reminding young women that natural variation is normal.
“Girl, we all look different… without surgery, without fillers, without makeup, without all that stuff—tape, wigs, tanning cream. The list goes on,” she said.
“There’s nothing wrong with you. You’re perfect the way you are. It’s all make-believe, honey.”
Candid About Her Own Experience
Fox herself has not shied away from disclosing her own cosmetic history. In a 2023 interview with Elle, she admitted to undergoing liposuction and receiving Botox injections.
“I feel like I’ve been a little slack — things aren’t as good as they used to be,” she said at the time. “But I just don’t want to do anything anymore.”

Kylie’s honesty appears to be inspiring others. Sami Sheen, daughter of Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, told her followers on Instagram that she plans to get 350cc silicone implants, citing Jenner’s influence.
Meanwhile, Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari addressed a fan who called her a “boob icon.” She revealed that her recent second augmentation went from 300cc to 340cc, adding: “Everyone thinks my boobs are a lot bigger, but since having surgery I’ve only increased them a few times.”
