At the 2025 BET Awards, actress Tisha Campbell surprised fans by discussing a recent “mommy makeover” during an interview with Entertainment Tonight. The procedure combines a personalized set of cosmetic surgeries designed to restore a woman’s pre-pregnancy body.
“I recently had plastic surgery,” Campbell said, smiling for the cameras. “It was a mommy makeover. I had extra skin from having kids, a little sagging here, a little sagging there, and they tightened my skin.”
A Personal Choice for Self-Confidence
Campbell emphasized that her decision was solely for herself, not to meet anyone else’s expectations. As a single mom, she said she’s not ready to date, but she wanted to feel good in her own skin.
“I just wanted to feel good about myself,” she explained. “That’s what this thing gave me.”
Inspiring Friends to Consider the Procedure
Her candid remarks on the red carpet have already sparked interest among her circle. While appearing on The Miss Pat Show with Taj (Tamara Johnson-George) and Lelee (Leanne Lyons) from SWV, Campbell admitted she encouraged them to explore their own mommy makeover options.
“I convinced them to call their doctor,” she laughed. “They wanted a mommy makeover as well. We should feel good about ourselves.”
Back on Stage with the “Dayum Gina Tour”
Beyond her cosmetic journey, Campbell has also returned to live performance. She is co-headlining the “Dayum Gina Tour” alongside comedian Finneas Mitchell—a playful nod to Martin Lawrence’s famous catchphrase for her character Gina Waters on the hit sitcom Martin.
With renewed confidence and a packed stage schedule, Campbell says she’s embracing this chapter of self-care and career growth.
