Model and influencer Robinson recently opened up about her breast reduction surgery in an exclusive interview with the New York Post, shedding light on the health reasons behind her decision rather than cosmetic motivations.
From Size 34E to 34B: A Health-Driven Transformation
Robinson underwent a significant change, going from a 34E to a 34B. She clarified that her goal was never to get smaller breasts purely for aesthetic reasons or weight loss.
“For me, it was never a cosmetic issue. My goal was born out of my desire to overcome a chronic illness,” she explained.
Battling Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome from a Young Age
Diagnosed around age 10 or 11 with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), Robinson has managed a rare genetic disorder affecting the connective tissues that support the body’s organs and joints. According to the Mayo Clinic, EDS symptoms include excessive joint looseness and skin elasticity, often leading to chronic pain and fatigue.
Robinson shared that she struggled with chronic migraines, fatigue, and brain fog throughout her youth, complications that were exacerbated by physical activity.
“When I exercised, I put a lot of stress on my neck, shoulders, and back,” she said. “It wasn’t until college that I really realized how much my chronic illness was affecting me.”
Medical Advice and Personal Decision
After consulting with her doctors, Robinson was advised to pursue breast reduction surgery as a means to alleviate physical strain and improve her quality of life.
“You have to consider the limitations that people with larger breasts and/or chronic illnesses may face,” Robinson noted. “Losing weight isn’t necessarily a good option. It also makes people think that having a breast reduction is because you want to be smaller.”
A Positive Outcome and Newfound Freedom
Following her recovery, Robinson expressed that her only regret was not having the surgery sooner. She recently shared a TikTok video showcasing her transformation, excitedly captioning it:
“The transformation from a 34E to a 34B has been crazy for me. I’m so happy. Can’t wait to go on this journey with you.”
Her story is an important reminder that breast reduction surgery is often about health, comfort, and reclaiming physical freedom, rather than mere aesthetics.
