Jacqueline Laurita opened up about her latest plastic surgery, showing fans her new look after a face and neck lift.
The former Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 55, posted a video and photo to Instagram on Monday, May 5, after undergoing a five-hour procedure. In the video, she was wrapped in bandages and had an oxygen tube in her nose, telling fans: “I just woke up after surgery. She said she felt ‘great’ because she ‘couldn’t feel anything.'”
Laurita accompanied the post with a lengthy caption thanking Dr. TY Steven Ip, who performed the procedure, and told fans she’s still feeling a little numb.
“Still waiting for the other half of my face to wake up from last time,” she wrote. “Should be soon! So it’s not moving yet! Haha!”
Laurita also said she’s doing some special exercises to “keep the blood circulating,” including ankle rotations and knee lifts, and applied Aquaphor after the procedure. The RHONJ alum even explained that she had to keep her head “elevated and forward” after surgery as part of her recovery protocol.
Laurita shared that the next steps are to remove the catheter and drains, after which she will “be able to go home early in the morning.” The Bravo alum ended her post by saying that she wanted to be open about her surgery and recovery.
“I want everyone to see what this process is really like and how we heal! Take care!”, Laurita wrote.
When a fan asked in the comments section of the post if she had been in an accident, Laurita revealed the specific procedures she had, replying, “No! But some people might call it that. I had a facelift, neck lift, and CO2 laser!”
In another reply in the comments section, Laurita said that the laser treatments helped with “skin remodeling” and targeted “fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, freckles, scars, acne scars, everything.”
Laurita has never shied away from talking about her plastic surgery. In 2017, she spoke to People about her fourth breast augmentation: a cup reduction and breast tissue reduction, which also marked her transition from silicone implants to ideal implants made of saline.
At the time, Laurita had her cup size reduced to a C cup and had some breast tissue removed. She told People that this was her first breast augmentation after having her first child.
“When I was younger I always wondered why people got breast augmentations and I was like, ‘This is gross,’ and then I had kids,” she said at the time. “After having my daughter, my natural C cup breasts were gone. My whole upper chest was gone and my breasts were sagging, which was really gross. I always wanted to build them back up but I couldn’t afford it until I was 30.”
Laurita has also had a nose job, a tummy tuck, a neck lift, and an upper eyelid surgery before the 2016 Real Housewives of New Jersey reunion. The reality star is also a fan of non-invasive procedures like Botox and fillers.
In 2019, Laurita underwent a “liquid rhinoplasty” procedure, where fillers were injected into her face to “make the bridge of her nose flatter,” Bravo reported. At the time, she also received cheek and jawline fillers, and posted about the triple surgery experience on social media.
Laurita shared a message to her critics on her Instagram Stories.
“One more thing, for all the people who are always like, ‘Oh my god, you can’t even make an expression or move your forehead,’ I really don’t want to move my forehead,” she told Bravo. “I mean, this is why I did it. So you either accept it or don’t look at me. This is the way I like it.”
