Kristin Davis Mocked For Bad Fillers, Breaks Down In Tears

by Alice

Actress Kristin Davis, 58, revealed that she had fillers injected into her face but later had them dissolved. She made the decision after viewers “mercilessly mocked” her appearance during the first season of And Just Like That. In a 2023 interview with The Daily Telegraph, Davis said, “I’ve had fillers, good and bad. I’ve had them dissolved and been mercilessly mocked. I’ve been in tears about it. It’s been very stressful.”

Frustration with the Blame Game

Davis criticized those who blamed her for a look that “didn’t look right,” rather than holding practitioners responsible. “You trust doctors, but when things go wrong, people blame us—like I had a needle in my face,” she told the newspaper. She added, “I couldn’t hold on any longer. I don’t have time.”

Letting Go of Youthful Comparisons

The Sex and the City alum also admitted to having lip surgery. She explained she felt pressure to match her younger self from the show’s 1990s heyday. “It’s hard to always be in front of your younger self,” she said. “The internet wants you to be like that, but they don’t want you to be like that. They’re conflicted.”

Returning to a Bare-Faced Look

Months later, Davis shared an Instagram photo without makeup or fillers while on location in Kenya. Fans and co-stars praised her natural beauty. And Just Like That star Sarita Chaudhuri commented, “Naturally beautiful,” while other followers added, “You are beautiful without makeup!!!” and “Still beautiful.”

Changing Priorities: Family Over Diets

Co-Stars on Aging and Appearance

Several of Davis’s Sex and the City co-stars have also spoken about aging and cosmetic procedures:

Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) told the Daily Mail in 2011 that she wants to “embrace aging because I think it’s interesting.”

Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw) told Vogue in 2021 that she knows she cannot stop aging. She confirmed on The Howard Stern Show in 2023 that she has not had a facelift but uses Botox and mild dermatologist treatments like chemical peels.

Together, their words reflect a growing acceptance of aging and a move away from drastic cosmetic changes.
