Dr. Terry Dubrow, the 65-year-old star of Botched, urged caution for anyone considering plastic surgery at a young age. In an interview with TMZ on June 4, he reacted to Kylie Jenner’s recent social media post revealing how she achieved her breast appearance.
Dubrow Questions Kylie Jenner’s Early Surgery
Dubrow noted that Jenner admitted on TikTok to having breast implants at age 19. He said, “I’m glad she admitted she did it, but I remember a year ago she said she regretted it. And then her friend (Stacey Karanikolaou) said she regretted it. So your message is… I think she should say it’s great, but I think it’s important that she reminds everyone of this.”
He added, “She had breast implants at 19. That’s not cool to have breast implants at 19, is it? That’s too young. So, someone like Kylie who can really push for surgery, I feel like it’s probably best for her to kind of admit to having had breast augmentation surgery and say, ‘You know, maybe I shouldn’t have done it so early.’ Because once Kylie admits it, everyone will do it.”
Plastic Surgery Calls for Serious Consideration
Dubrow stressed that plastic surgery is as serious as any other procedure. “It’s important to assess if it’s right for you, assess the risks, make sure it’s something you really want to do and understand the complications associated with it,” he said. “Be very careful with plastic surgery because it’s really serious.”
Kylie Jenner’s Implant Details Go Public
On June 3, Jenner, now 27, responded to a fan on TikTok who asked about breast augmentation. She wrote, “445cc, medium, half under the muscle!!! Silicone!!!” She also named her surgeon as Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher and added, “Hope this helps lol.”
Jenner’s Past Secrecy and Regret
Jenner had kept her breast augmentation private until 2023. In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she said, “I had breast augmentation before Stormi, and I didn’t expect to have a baby at 20. At that time, my breasts were still healing.” She later expressed regret, stating, “My breasts are beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Perfect size, perfect everything. I just wish, obviously, I had never had it done in the first place.”
Jenner said she wanted to be a positive role model for her daughter, Stormi. “I wish I could be her and do everything differently because I don’t touch anything,” she added.
Before confirming her surgery, Jenner denied rumors, claiming that changes in her bust were due to her period or different lingerie.
