Professional dancer and podcaster Allison Holker, 37, has publicly confirmed that she recently underwent breast augmentation surgery. On the May 25 episode of her podcast Between Us, Holker shared her long-held desire to enhance her figure and discussed her recovery.
“I haven’t actually talked about it publicly, but I did have breast augmentation surgery recently,” Holker revealed. “I’m really happy with it.”
A Decision Years in the Making
Holker explained that she first considered breast augmentation in high school but delayed the procedure due to her demanding dance career. “I’ve actually wanted to get breast augmentation surgery since high school, but because of my dance career, I never got around to it,” she said. She worried about taking months off to heal and about possible pain or complications.
Three children later—and after she slowed down her dancing—Holker felt the time was right. “I kept putting it off, and three kids later, I wasn’t dancing like I used to, so I was like, ‘Okay, maybe now is the time,’” she said.
Rebuilding Confidence After Loss
Holker credited part of her decision to a need for self-care after enduring personal grief. Her husband, fellow professional dancer Steven “tWitch” Boss, died by suicide in December 2022 at age 40. The couple shared three children: Wesley, 16, Maddox, 9, and Zaya, 5. Boss also helped raise Holker’s eldest daughter, Wesley, from a previous relationship.
“I’ve been going through a lot over the last few years, and I was really down and my confidence was totally shattered,” Holker said. She added that talking the plan over with her daughter Wesley helped cement her choice. “She saw me go through the process of ‘No, I’m choosing myself for now,’ and now I’m really happy about it.”
Smooth Recovery and Family Support
Holker’s recovery proceeded smoothly. “With the breast augmentation, it was like a light came through,” Wesley noted on their companion podcast Among Us. “She’d put clothes on and say, ‘I look so much better in these clothes now.’ To see someone do that for themselves, especially someone with such a great relationship with my mom, it’s like, ‘I can tell you’re actually happier.’”
Long-Time Botox User
In the same Between Us episode, Holker also admitted she has been getting Botox injections for years. She encouraged podcast guest Jessica Hall to try it, saying, “I’m actually wondering if you’ve ever had Botox, because I have, and I love it.”
Holker said she had delayed Botox until later in her career. “I’ve been doing it for years and years, and I really love it,” she said. She praised Botox for both its cosmetic smoothing effect and its unexpected benefit: clearing her forehead acne. “It really cured my acne,” she explained. “I used to have a lot of acne on my forehead and it cured it instantly.”
Looking Ahead
With her new enhancements, Holker says she feels more confident and energized. As she continues her dance and podcasting work, she hopes sharing her experience will help others feel comfortable making choices that support their well-being.
