Alexis Bellino’s Warning: Silicone Leaking After Fourth Implant Surgery

by Alice

Breast augmentation is a widely chosen cosmetic surgery. Many women opt for implants to improve their self-confidence or change their appearance. However, the procedure carries risks that can show up even years after surgery.

One notable example is Alexis Bellino, former star of Real Housewives of Orange County. She has undergone four breast augmentation surgeries. Her recent complications serve as a cautionary tale about failed implants and silicone leaks.

Alexis Bellino’s Journey with Breast Implants

Alexis Bellino had her first breast augmentation at 19, despite her mother’s objections. Over the years, she had three more surgeries, with the last procedure in 2008.

Three years ago, Alexis faced a serious complication called capsular contracture. This happens when scar tissue tightens around the implant, making it hard and painful. She had surgery to fix the issue in 2022, but the problem came back. Alexis explains, “Most of the time, once you have surgery, you keep having it.”

Silicone Leak and Implant Rupture

Earlier this year, Alexis noticed troubling changes. Her left breast became swollen and firm. It even looked different in photos. She also felt numbness and tingling in her arm.

Recognizing the problem, Alexis sought medical help. Doctors found that her implant had ruptured, and silicone had leaked into her breast tissue. Alexis said, “The silicone had actually leaked into my left breast. I mean, that’s not a good thing.”

Surgery and New Implant

Doctors removed the damaged implant and cleaned out the leaked silicone. They replaced it with a smaller, more supportive implant.

Alexis now warns others to think carefully before deciding on cosmetic surgery. “I want everyone to think twice before they do cosmetic surgery,” she says.

Advice to the Next Generation

Alexis has shared her experience openly, especially with her daughters. She does not want them to get breast implants. “If I were 19 again, I would tell myself not to do it,” she says.

Alexis Bellino’s story highlights the long-term risks involved in breast augmentation. It reminds women to weigh the benefits against potential complications before choosing surgery.
