On January 19, Dancing with the Stars alum Lindsay Arnold, 31, posted a “Get Ready With Me” TikTok video just three days after her breast augmentation. She wrote, “Already so happy with the results!” In the clip, Arnold walked viewers through her recovery routine and shared key decisions she made during surgery.
Selecting Implant Size: Cubic Centimeters Over Cup Size
Arnold explained that breast implants are measured in cubic centimeters (cc), not cup sizes. She considered different volumes:
300 cc felt too large
245 cc felt too small
She narrowed her choice to 265 cc and 285 cc, then let her surgeon “try them on during surgery” to see which filled out her frame best. They ultimately chose 265 cc implants for a balanced look.
Implant Profile and Natural Feel
Beyond size, Arnold focused on implant profile, which affects how far the breast projects:
High profile implants are narrower and stick out more
Medium wide implants are broader and sit closer to the chest
She opted for a medium wide profile to achieve a soft, natural feel. “I wanted very natural, very soft, not super hard,” she said.
Surgical Technique and Scarring
Arnold described the procedure as a combination augmentation and lift. Her surgeon:
Cut the skin beneath each breast
Lifted the nipple to a higher position
Removed excess tissue to eliminate protrusion
She noted that the incisions created an “anchor scar”—a circle around the nipple with a vertical line down to the breast crease and a horizontal line along the base. Despite this, she still experiences some protrusion and “definitely needs a lift.”
Galaflex Mesh Bra for Support
After surgery, Arnold wore a Galaflex mesh bra—an “internal mesh bra” her surgeon provided. She explained it helps support the implants during healing and reduces strain on her chest and back.
Balancing Recovery and Motherhood
In the days following her procedure, Arnold shared morning routines from bed, attended by her daughters Sage Jill, 4, and June Cusick, who turned 2 in May. She used a specialized pillow to keep her knees and back elevated while her breasts healed.
She also candidly discussed everyday challenges, such as coaxing toddler June out of her car seat. “It took me 10 minutes to convince June to get out of the car seat when I got home,” she joked. “Can’t wait to hold my babies again!”
Appreciation for Community Support
Arnold closed her video with heartfelt thanks to her followers: “I really didn’t expect the response I would get from sharing something like this. I’m so grateful to all of you for supporting me, even if you don’t agree or don’t want to do it yourself. I appreciate your respect because this is something I wanted to do myself.”
