Kailyn Lowry, best known for her role on Teen Mom 2, is offering fans a transparent look at her recovery from recent plastic surgery. The 31-year-old reality star has been open about her struggles and concerns during the healing process.
Reducing Pain Meds and Facing Discomfort
In a TikTok video posted on February 1, just five days after her tummy tuck surgery, Kailyn shared how she’s managing pain. The video shows her slowly walking down a hallway while speaking to the camera.
“I’m trying to cut back on the pain medication,” she explained. “I don’t want to get addicted, and I’m feeling really sick. I’m still able to move around, but I’m just a little uncomfortable.”
She also mentioned that she needed help taking a shower before going in for a lymphatic massage, a treatment often used after cosmetic procedures to reduce swelling.
Clarifying What Was Done
Kailyn made it clear that her recent surgery did not involve a Brazilian butt lift (BBL) or butt implants. She previously had a BBL in 2016, but this time, her procedure focused on fixing her C-section scar and performing a tummy tuck.
“Because we did a tummy tuck to fix my C-section scar and combined it with my tummy tuck, I have some pretty bad bruising on my butt,” she said.
In the same video, Kailyn ended her update with a brief but clear statement:
“I’m in pain.”
Reflecting on Past Procedures
This isn’t the first time Kailyn has undergone cosmetic surgery. In late December, she had a breast reduction. On January 6, she posted an emotional video where she expressed regret over some of her past decisions, including liposuction and previous tummy tuck surgeries.
In that video, she spoke directly to her children and viewers, sharing a heartfelt message about body image and self-acceptance.
“I hope my children never feel so miserable about their body image that they harm their bodies to be thin,” she said.
A Message to Fans: Think Before Surgery
As the host of the Barely Famous podcast, Kailyn often shares personal insights with her followers. In this case, she used her platform to deliver a message to others who may be considering cosmetic surgery.
“Think twice before getting plastic surgery,” she advised.
A Busy Mother of Seven
Kailyn is a mother of seven children. She shares Rio, 2, and twins Verse and Valley, 14 months, with her fiancé Elijah Scott. She also has Isaac, 14, with ex-partner Jo Rivera, Lincoln, 11, with Javi Marroquin, and Lux, 7, and Creed, 4, with Chris Lopez.
