Cohen, 56, is the host of Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live and is also the host of the 11th season of Married to a Doctor, a Bravo show about the lives of female doctors and women married to doctors.
Cohen revealed that he recently had Botox for the first time. “They gave me a little bit about a month ago,” he admitted. He had previously gone back and forth on whether to get Botox, initially saying “I didn’t think it was necessary.”
Cohen talked about Botox in more detail on the How to Fail podcast. “Joan Rivers begged me to get Botox before she died,” Cohen explained. He went on to detail how several other male TV hosts had gotten Botox and was shocked that he was one of the last to get the popular cosmetic treatment.
He then quipped, “So what? The gays are the ones who didn’t get Botox!”
Cohen put off the procedure for so long because several medical professionals told him that he didn’t need it. In a 2016 episode of Watch What Happens Live, Botched star Dr. Terry Dubrow told the Bravo star, “You don’t need any of that. Just don’t do it.”
The father of two has since changed his mind, but remains wary of cosmetic surgery. Botox injections have become an increasingly popular treatment in the beauty world, and the process was recently documented on Hulu’s Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
During Tuesday’s upcoming Season 14 reunion of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Cohen asked all the cast members if they had “any last-minute beauty treatments,” and Erika Jayne revealed she had Botox the Tuesday before.
