Chloe Brockett, the star of The Only Way is Essex (TOWIE), has bravely shared the details of her early cosmetic surgery journey, including her illegal lip fillers at the age of 16. Speaking with Closer magazine, Chloe admitted to being obsessed with the Kardashian family, particularly Kylie Jenner, whose own lip transformation had become a viral sensation. Driven by a desire to emulate Kylie’s signature look, Chloe lied about her age to undergo the procedure, stating, “I was desperate to have bigger lips like Kylie’s. I had lip fillers at 16, which was actually illegal. It wasn’t the clinic’s fault because I lied about my age.”
Early Surgery Addiction
By the time Chloe turned 19, she had already undergone a variety of procedures, including Botox, fillers, and breast implants. Despite not having the financial means to afford them, the young reality star was able to access these cosmetic treatments through sponsorships from brands after joining TOWIE. Chloe acknowledged that she was in “dangerous territory” with the surgeries and expressed that her mother was concerned about her undergoing such extreme changes at a young age. However, Chloe’s desire to transform into a “Bratz doll” overpowered any reservations.
The Consequences of Overdoing It
As her procedure history continued, Chloe began to experience the consequences of her addiction to cosmetic enhancements. After getting fillers in her cheeks, she began to feel as though she was transforming into something unnatural. “I was completely addicted,” she confessed. “It even got to the point where you enjoy the shock of it. I love people looking at my lips but they probably think I look crazy! I didn’t even recognise myself anymore.” At one point, she even felt like she was looking more like a “cat” than herself.
Breast Implants and Complications
Chloe’s breast augmentation surgery at 19 also had its challenges. After receiving the surgery for free, she noticed that within months, her implants began to sag. She explained, “They grew to a size E and at 5ft I couldn’t handle their weight. I couldn’t wear low-cut tops anymore without taping them up.” Chloe admitted that she had not followed the recommended aftercare advice, which could have prevented the sagging. As a result, she plans to undergo another surgery to reduce the size of her implants, as she now hates them.
Emotional and Relational Struggles
In addition to her struggles with cosmetic procedures, Chloe also opened up about her recent breakup from her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Jack Fincham, a former Love Island winner. Reports indicate that the couple has split for the sixth time, following a series of violent arguments. On her Instagram Stories, Chloe also spoke about living with a “narcissist” for a year, though she did not name Jack. She shared that living with a narcissist was a deeply troubling experience, saying, “The scariest part of living with a narcissist is that they actually believe their lies… I woke up one day and was like ‘Wow… you’ve been lied to.’”
Chloe later deleted the post and promised to address the topic further in the future.
A New Chapter
As Chloe continues to reflect on her journey, both with her cosmetic procedures and her personal relationships, she appears to be on the path toward self-discovery and healing. She is now looking forward to taking steps to correct the physical aspects of her appearance that she regrets and gaining clarity in her personal life.
