During a marathon promotion for her film No Hard Feelings this year, Jennifer Lawrence was accused of having plastic surgery and changing her face — and she’s here to set the record straight. The Oscar-winning actress and Kardashian fan said in an interview with Kylie Jenner for Interview Magazine that some people accused her of having a “total facelift” that even changed her eyes. She clarified that it wasn’t a facelift, but the magic of makeup and her choice of makeup artist, Hung Vanngo.
“I think it’s incredible how the makeup turned out because I worked with Hung [Vanngo], who did the lip lining, and I call him my plastic surgeon because everyone was convinced in the months since I started working with him that I had eye surgery,” Lawrence said. “I was like, ‘I didn’t have eye surgery, I’m just wearing makeup.'”
After Jenner pointed out that Lawrence doesn’t look like she’s had plastic surgery at all, Lawrence responded to her critics by saying, “Well, obviously I’ve had full-on plastic surgery.”
Lawrence also attributed her changing appearance to aging, noting that anyone who compares themselves to when they were 19 (she’s been in front of the camera for that long) will see some huge differences.
“I started having plastic surgery when I was 19, so I have before and after pictures from 19 to 30, and I’m like, ‘I’ve grown up. I got less of a bump on my face, and my face shape has changed because I’ve gotten older,'” she said. “Everyone thinks I had a nose job, and I’m like, ‘My nose is the same, I just have smaller cheeks.’ Thank you for bringing that up.”
