Danielle Mansutti, a 30-year-old YouTube influencer with 1.6 million subscribers, is suing Harley Street plastic surgeon Dr. Domenico Mileto for £1.7 million. She claims that implants he recommended were too large for her frame and left her breasts deformed.
Three Surgeries, One Injury
Ms. Mansutti underwent her first breast augmentation in December 2020. By early 2021, she had two additional operations after her left breast began to sag and her nipple “pointed outwards.” A third surgeon later told her the implants were oversized for her size 8 frame. He said the weight tore her left pectoral muscle from the bone, causing pain and uneven breasts.
Career Impact and Claim for Damages
After the final surgery in May 2021, Ms. Mansutti had the implants removed. She says the physical pain and mental distress forced her to abandon her influencer career and leave the UK. Her lawsuit includes a claim for £1.4 million in lost social media income.
Surgeon Denies Liability
Dr. Mileto denies the allegations. He insists that the surgery was performed correctly and that the implant size matched Ms. Mansutti’s request.
Influencer Background
Born in the UK and raised partly in Australia, Ms. Mansutti launched her YouTube channel in January 2011. She gained popularity in Brighton with makeup tutorials, fashion features, and lifestyle vlogs. She stopped working as an influencer about a month after her first surgery.
Next Steps in High Court
Ms. Mansutti’s case is now before the High Court. A hearing date has not yet been set. Both sides will present expert evidence on implant sizing and surgical technique.
