MomTok moms aren’t the only ones gaining fame from The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives (SLOMW). Their moms — or perhaps “MomTok grandmas” — are also catching attention. One standout this season is Leanne Mae, mother of Taylor Frankie Paul.
Leanne Mae has been a steady presence by Taylor’s side as she navigates life with her three kids, the drama on MomTok, and her on-again, off-again relationship with Dakota Mortensen. Taylor, in return, has been a vocal supporter of Leanne’s plastic surgery journey.
Leanne’s Plastic Surgery Journey
After SLOMW aired, Leanne decided to undergo surgery to refresh her appearance. “My mom wanted to do a nose job first, and then a whole face job,” Taylor revealed on the show. She added, “When I saw her afterward, I was like, ‘Mom, what did you do?’ She looked like she’d been hit by a bus. But she’s doing well, and it’s even better if she feels good.”
Facing Criticism and Setting the Record Straight
Leanne’s transformation hasn’t been welcomed by everyone. Some critics, whom she described as “ignorant people,” have left hurtful comments on her Instagram. These trolls accused her of jealousy toward Taylor, claiming she wants to be her daughter.
Leanne responded firmly on Instagram, urging people to “get the facts.” She wrote,
“I love Tay and my other kids more than life itself. I would never be jealous of them. This is ridiculous! I don’t need to want to look like my daughter, she looks like me! It’s called genes!”
She also clarified the extent of her surgeries, saying,
“I did have a nose job and eyelids, but not a full face, but I wish I had them done now and with my own money, I don’t need Taylor’s hospital.”
A Family Supporting Each Other
Leanne Mae’s journey highlights the complex relationships and support systems featured on SLOMW. Through ups and downs, the family continues to stand together — facing public scrutiny and personal challenges alike.
