Plastic surgeon Dr. Vikram Singh Rathore recently revealed the types of plastic surgeries and procedures Bollywood stars often choose to maintain their youthful and attractive appearance. According to him, female celebrities are generally more concerned about their looks than male stars. Many of these women undergo plastic surgeries especially after childbirth.
Common Procedures Among Celebrities
In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Dr. Rathore explained that celebrities require a variety of surgeries. These include fat removal from targeted areas, reshaping of the nose, and eyelid surgeries.
He said, “My female clients are very conscious of their appearance. They want to correct facial blemishes, sagging skin, and double chins. Many opt for liposuction and body contouring to achieve an ideal body shape. Breast augmentation or reduction, rhinoplasty, and blepharoplasty are also common. These procedures help them look younger.”
The Rising Trend of ‘Mommy Makeovers’
Dr. Rathore also highlighted the growing popularity of the ‘mommy makeover’—a series of surgeries aimed at reversing the physical effects of pregnancy.
He said, “After pregnancy, a woman’s body changes a lot. Many actresses feel their career is at risk and fall into depression. To help them regain confidence, we offer a ‘mommy makeover,’ which includes breast augmentation, tummy tuck, and liposuction.”
Surgery Helps Fight Postpartum Depression
The doctor shared that many women experience postpartum depression due to these body changes. Plastic surgery helps them feel better about themselves.
He gave an example: “One of my patients, a 32-year-old mother of twins, came to me very depressed and with suicidal thoughts. I assured her the surgery would restore her pre-pregnancy look. Two weeks later, she sent me a bouquet of flowers as thanks.”
Celebrities Openly Discuss Plastic Surgery
Several Bollywood stars like Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, and Anushka Sharma have spoken openly about their plastic surgeries.
In an interview with Curly Tales, Khushi Kapoor said, “I don’t think plastic surgery is a big deal. The main issue is people fear hatred if they admit it publicly. But I believe people will judge no matter what. Some think the term ‘plastic surgery’ is insulting, but I don’t see anything wrong with it if someone chooses to have it.”
