On the February 8 season premiere of The Martha Stewart Podcast, Martha Stewart, now 82, tackled questions about her youthful appearance. She invited her cosmetic dermatologist, Dr. Dan Belkin, to explain the procedures she’s received.
“People are interested in seeing my selfies,” Stewart said. “A lot of comments ask about my facelifts—who did it, when, and how much was retouched. I just want to clear that up.”
Dermatologist Outlines Key Treatments
Dr. Belkin detailed the work he has done:
Cheek fillers to restore volume
Muscle-relaxing injections in targeted areas
Ultrasound-based skin tightening including Ulthera and Softwave
He also mentioned earlier sessions of skin tightening using ultrasound. Stewart noted that she tried Botox but was not pleased with the fullness it gave her upper face. “My eyebrows formed a V-shaped upturn,” she said. “It did not look natural.”
Stewart’s Personal Motivation
Stewart explained why she chooses ongoing treatments. “I don’t care about age,” she said, “but I don’t want to look old at all. So I’m always working on it.” Her goal is to maintain a fresh look rather than chase youth.
Diet, Exercise, and Other Routines
Beyond cosmetic procedures, Stewart credits her diet and exercise for her vitality:
She eats organic food and watches her intake.
She does Pilates three times a week with an instructor.
She frequently gets massages and visits a chiropractor.
In a 2023 interview with InStyle, Stewart said, “I don’t need to diet, but I watch what I eat.”
A Proven Formula
Between noninvasive procedures and a disciplined wellness routine, Stewart shows how she maintains her health and appearance. At 82, her combination of professional treatments and daily habits continues to attract admiration—and proves that her methods are, indeed, working.
